Auburn Group has been appointed to deliver a dining hall extension at Monteagle Primary School in Barking & Dagenham, supporting the school’s growing pupil population and improving the day-to-day experience for students and staff.
The £450,000 scheme will expand the existing dining facilities, creating additional space to accommodate more pupils comfortably during lunch periods while improving the overall functionality of the school’s catering and circulation areas.
Working within a live school environment, the project will be carefully planned to minimise disruption to daily activities. Auburn Group will work closely with the school and the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to ensure the construction programme is coordinated around term time operations wherever possible.
Alongside increasing capacity, the extension will deliver a modern and energy-efficient space that supports the school’s long-term needs and provides a more comfortable environment for pupils during busy dining periods.
The project forms part of the borough’s ongoing investment in education infrastructure, ensuring school facilities continue to support growing communities across Barking & Dagenham.
