Roding School

Auburn Group secured the Design & Build contract for the construction of a new Classroom Block C, staff offices reconfiguration and refurbishment, mezzanine classroom reconfiguration, and associated landscaping works on behalf of LBBD Council. The project is designed to enhance the school's learning environment through the delivery of modern teaching spaces, improved staff facilities, and upgraded external areas that support both education and wellbeing.

With Stage 4 design now complete and Stage 5 construction information being finalised, the project has successfully transitioned from planning into delivery. Early enabling works included the relocation of the existing external play canopy, allowing construction activities to progress efficiently while maintaining the school's day-to-day operations.

Significant progress has already been achieved on the new Block C building, with the superstructure, roofing, windows, and external doors now complete. As the building takes shape, façade works, drylining, and first-fix MEP installations are advancing, with floor screeding works commencing as the project moves further into the internal fit-out phase.

Alongside the new build, refurbishment and reconfiguration works within Block A are underway. Following the completion of soft-strip works to the existing staff room, first-fix drylining and MEP isolations are progressing in preparation for an intensive programme of refurbishment works planned during the Summer Break. This carefully phased approach ensures minimal disruption to the school while maximising progress during periods of reduced occupancy.

More than just a construction project, this development represents a significant investment in the future of the school, delivering modern, adaptable spaces that will support students and staff for years to come.
