Auburn at Education Estates 2025: Shaping the Future of SEND Education
The Aurburn Group team Education Estates conference and exhibition at October 14–15 at Manchester Central
the Auburn team joined education leaders, policymakers, designers, contractors and suppliers at Education Estates 2025 in Manchester, the UK's leading event dedicated to education infrastructure and learning environments.
As the premier gathering for professionals involved in the planning, design, construction and management of educational facilities, Education Estates provides a vital platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. With increasing demand for specialist educational provision across the UK, this year's event offered an important opportunity to share ideas, showcase innovation and explore practical solutions for delivering high-quality learning environments.
Why Auburn Attended
At Auburn, we are committed to creating educational spaces that enable every learner to thrive. With demand for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision continuing to rise nationwide, Education Estates 2025 provided the ideal forum to engage with decision-makers and sector partners about the urgent need for tailored, cohort-specific SEND schools.
Throughout the two-day event, our team welcomed visitors to Stand 246, located next to the SEND Stage, where conversations focused on the future of specialist education design, delivery and infrastructure.
Showcasing Trinity School
A key feature of our stand was the 3D model of Trinity School, a project that demonstrates how innovative design approaches can create effective learning environments for students with diverse needs.
The project highlights Auburn's expertise in circulation-led design, ensuring that movement throughout the building supports wellbeing, accessibility and operational efficiency. It also showcases the benefits of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), helping to deliver high-quality educational facilities efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on the specific requirements of SEND cohorts.
By combining thoughtful design principles with innovative construction techniques, Trinity School serves as a practical example of how specialist educational environments can be delivered successfully and at scale.
Driving Meaningful Conversations
Education Estates is more than an exhibition; it is a place where the sector comes together to tackle some of its most pressing challenges. For Auburn, the event provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with local authorities, trusts, education leaders and industry partners who share our ambition to improve outcomes for children and young people requiring specialist support.
The discussions held throughout the event reinforced the importance of collaboration in delivering the next generation of SEND schools—facilities that not only meet growing demand but also provide safe, supportive and inspiring environments where every learner can succeed.
Looking Ahead
As Education Estates 2025 concludes, Auburn remains focused on working alongside stakeholders across the education sector to develop innovative, sustainable and learner-centred solutions for SEND provision.
We would like to thank everyone who visited us at Stand 246 and contributed to the many insightful conversations over the two days. We look forward to continuing these discussions and helping shape educational environments that make a lasting difference for future generations.
