Southend Theatres Transformation Enters Its Final Stages

We’re delighted to share the latest progress at Southend Theatres, where the project is now entering the final stages of the internal fit-out.

Inside the venue, the transformation is really taking shape, with new joinery and bars being installed throughout. This includes two brand-new bars, a new box office, a merchandise stand, and a concessions area, all designed to enhance the visitor experience.

Significant improvements have also been made to the venue’s visitor facilities. Two new female toilet blocks, one new male toilet block and three accessible toilet blocks have now been completed and are undergoing final commissioning.

Behind the scenes, all new plant equipment has been installed, bringing much-needed air conditioning to the new restaurant and welcome areas. These improvements will help create a more comfortable environment for visitors while supporting the venue’s new and enhanced spaces.

Outside, work is progressing just as quickly. Hard landscaping has now commenced on the new piazza, with paving works well underway and the external transformation beginning to take shape.

Over the coming weeks, visitors will see some of the most noticeable changes yet as hoardings and temporary works are removed. This will begin to reveal the full extent of the transformation while opening up additional areas for the public to enjoy.

With the project now firmly in its final stages, there’s a real sense of excitement as the finished venue comes into view.
